Hello All!

I'm new to this forum and need some boiler control advice. Have had a look a the existing posts, but haven't found a solution yet!

For background, I am a control specialist electrician but I'm in need of some guidance on how to set up my heating system.

Boiler is a Vaillant 837 System boiler controlled by a VRC470
Cylinder is a stainless mains pressure 210 Litre Tank (not Vaillant)
UFH system is a Polypipe system with 5 zones in a newbuild extension
In addition there are 8 radiators
There is a wiring centre (VR65) feeding 2 zone valves, (DHW & Rads)
There is a Polypipe unit nearby with a controller in each zone fed back to a manifold with the solenoid valves. No connection to the boiler which seems odd!

I am having problems controlling the system properly! Consequently my fuel bills are rather high! The absence of a UFH dedicated zone and lack of communication between the UFH and the boiler which isn't helping!

The installer has suffered a stroke and can no longer work, plus he had major problems wiring the system up during installation, so I've not a lot of come back there! The system is around 3 years old.

I need 2 heating zones which are independent together with the DHW coil. I am torn between a Vaillant VR61 or use a third party control system and do without the weather compensating element of the system. Can anyone offer me some help?

Hi Richie,

Can you share your solution ?
