Hi guys. I have an Vailiant ecotec824 plus which keeps gaining pressure when the heating is switch on. A friend adviced me to change the main inlet service valve, which i have, and it's made no differance.

Any idea's?

pressure rise is normal when the boiler is running

do you mean it stays up after it cools

if so first port of call is the filling loop

Sorry, didn't mention that i've set the pressure at cold at 0.8 bar, when the heating starts up the pressure slowly raises to over 3 bar and then water come out of the pressure release valve, when the heating is turned off the pressure drops to approx 1.7 bar then stays there.
