Hello, experts.
We have a Vaillant boiler, and I think that it needs attention. (In any case, it's due for a service in a week or two.) I was trying to find a "Vaillant Approved" heating engineer. I have no doubt that there are lots of these, but I am very careful about lots of things when choosing a tradesman, and today, I asked for a call-back from a heating engineer that, although GasSafe registered, does not state that he is "Vaillant Approved". My question is: Is it very important, in a material way, that a Vaillant boiler be serviced by a "Vaillant Approved" engineer? I mean, if the tradesman is well-experienced and honest but not Vailant-trained, would he be competent to service a Vaillant boiler? I am sure that Vaillant want to make sure that tradesmen know their boilers as intimately as possible, but they would, wouldn't they, as a matter of business sense? From the customer's point of view, I should like to know how important that qualification would be if one could not find a Vaillant-trained engineer.
Thanks in advance, for any replies.
