We’ve just bought a house with a Vaillant boiler and Salus thermostat. The thermostat will not pair with the boiler (we’ve tried batteries, resetting, the usual). I’m looking at replacing the thermostat but what would be a better option than getting the same Salus? Don’t want to spend too much… thanks

Surprised it won't pair. presume you have followed the instructions for the transmitter and receiver?

Any number of programmable thermostats will work with the boiler, one specifically integrated to fit into that space where the Salus RT510TX receiver is located may be harder to get unless it's one by Vaillant but they tend to be expensive.

Plenty of wireless thermostats on the market. All depends on your budget and what you want to achieve, be it programmable or just on/off. Unfortunately not a DIY job as the front cover forms part of the combustion circuit and would need to be checked for safety afterwards. Salus I am told are dire.
