Vaillant Boiler Problem!!!!

Hi my sister has a turbomax plus combi boiler which has developed an annoying problem.

When you turn on the hot tap all you get is cold water although the boiler fires up as if its calling for hot water. Also she has to keep letting water out of the central heating as the pressure keeps going up.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be as Im getting fed up of going round there to keep her happy by just looking at the boiler and telling her that she needs to call out a proper gas engineer!!!

diverter problem by the sound of it, getting a good RGI to sort it out is not a bad idea

and it sounds like the filling tap is not fully closed off aswell

If it's not closed then the EV may need pumping up.

If the PRV has been activated then that probably needs replacing.
