Vaillant eco tec 838 hot water problems.

Hi all,
Having hot water problems with hot water on above boiler heating working OK but hot water burner starts and then stops with the message water deficiency , I have flushed the secondary heat exchanger out and all pipes seem to have a good flow could it be the flow sensor ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think that this is prompted by too small difference between flow and return sensors.

Usually caused by a flow restriction which can include dirt in the pump impeller. But can in theory perhaps be caused by a faulty sensor.

However, on your boiler the front cover forms the room sealed combustion chamber so we cannot give detailed DIY repair advice.

So the only think we can offer is that you call a gas registered engineer to identify the fault and check the front cover seals safely.
