Vaillant Eco Tec Pro 28 timer issue - help appreciated

Hello all,

We've now had 2 failed timers (manual one on boiler). Can we replace this with something else like a smart one, is it possible to somehow integrate the use of a Nest or similar (Smart) by replacing the upstairs thermostat or any other way?

Yes, that's usually a straightforward way to do it.
You would then set the boiler timer to permanently on, leaving the smart stat to control the temperature and timing.
Could you post a photo of your current stat and it's wiring, and we may be able to help suggest alternatives?
