Vaillant ecofit sustain 830 auto airvent purge process

Hi due to drain down need to run the purge program on Ecofit Sustain 830. On this model what looks like the auto airvent has a tube attached on a barbed plastic outlet and no screw down plastic cap. Is it just a case of pulling the tube off and running the auto purge program or is there more to this auto vent
