Help! Just got back from hols and house stone sold. Vaillant ecomax 600 (8 years old) goes through status codes S1, S2, S3 then to S4 for about a second, then "Phut" the boiler goes out just as it sounds like the main burner should come on. Back to S3 and the cycle repeats itself every 25 seconds. No fault code showing. Gas supply untouched, flue externally clear. Any ideas anyone?

First thought at the moment when a boiler cuts out is a frozen condensate pipe, but your symptoms sound a little different. Normally you would get a particular fault code for that.
