Our boiler has been playing up recently and this morning (coldest day of the year) it decided not to start at all.
Previously, it had "gone funny" with the display showing different temperatures every second and a radiator with a thermometer next to it. The fan sounded like it was running really fast but there was no flame. After turning it on and off a few times it seemed to recover and work as normal.
Now, when I switch it on, the fan blows at full speed(?) for about 5 seconds and then the red light flashes and the display shows 11......F. I've tried switching it off and on and pulling most of the connectors off the processor board and display module and putting them back on (in case of a bad connection) but to no avail.
Any suggestions what to try next before my usual service engineer is available (in a week...)? Is it likely to be the processor board?
