Vaillant Ecotec plus 831 Air Vent Question

Inside the ecotec plus 831 close to the end of the pump there a auto air vent with a black cap on it - the black cap on mine is screwed down tightly.

Should be opened a touch?

It needs to be open a few turns in order for the air to auto vent
