I have a Vaillant combin 242 (about 10 years old). Have 2 problems
whereby (1) the HW flow-rate is quite low - both downstairs in the kitchen and in the bath upstairs (2) the boiler didn't always fire up on opening HW.
So, I've had both the diverter valve and the heat exchanger replaced with brand new ones. I thought this would sort out the problems. Proble (2) is now fixed - boilers always fires, but (1) is still there. HW flow rate is slow, and I notice that the radiators get hot when I open the hot water for more than 5 mins or so. So, obviously the new diverter valve is not doing it's job properly, as it seeems to still diver water to the rad rather than the taps.
Any ideas? Opinions? Many thanks in advance.
