boiler would stop for 15-20 minutes after couple of hours and would start again. Decided to open the pump up from four screws at the front and now nothing works i.e. no central heating or hot water.

Drained the system in the process and took the air out from couple of places but no luck.

please help.

Regards

may sound stupid but did you re-open the pump valves or valves for the boiler,.

Hi,

Sorry could not reply earlier because I have just come on line after spending whole day trying to fix it.

Yes after pressurizing the system I loosen the valve on tank (which sits on the top of the burner) pipes and also air vent attached to the pump. I also tried turning pump with the screw driver from the front.

After changing the pump and switch circuit board I have discovered that both live and neutral feeds to the pump are showing current (tested with a standrad eclectric tester).

People at the parts place are saying that there is a problem at the loop somewhere and pump needs L & N to work.

Thanks

electrics? what you mean theres no link between switchlive and live?

:)
Thank you for your help.

I had someone in earlier to look at it, he checked the voltage with multimeter.
Inside the switch box behind the Red (for switching pilot light off)and green buttons there is switch, which had stopped pump from working due to getting too hot. It suppose to cut off when boiler/water gets too hot. I have been told.
It cost me £40 in labour to get it going, considering I was thinking of buying a new boiler its not a bad deal after all.
Once again thanks for your help.
