Vaillant t3W - pilot light on, no hot water or c/heating

Hi all,
After moving into a new flat recently we found we had a Vaillant t3w combi boiler.

Has been working fine for a while until i accidently turned the pilot light off. (random story)

So the pilot light is now back on, when u turn the tap you can hear the boiler clicking on and off, it also clicks when you turn on the c/heating on and off but i get no heating or hot water.

One thing i have noticed is that the pilot light doesnt seem to go as 'big' as it used to when it was working?!

Any help appreciated!

Behind the green and red buttons is a microswitch that doesnt always engage so to speak so give the red button a good sharp couple of pushes then press green as before to light pilot again .

i have tried that a few times and it still only fires up with a 'small' pilot light.

Any other good suggestions?

If i keep doing it will it make a difference?
