Hello,
Having issues with the above boiler. Frequently (almost every day, sometimes twice a day), when I turn on tap/shower the boiler will not ignite. Near the start (this has been going on for months now) it occasionally showed a fault code - can't remember for sure but I think F33? - and red light displayed. However usually, the green light will flash as it normally does when hot water is being demanded but no orange light for ignition. If I cycle the power a few times, eventually I will hear what I assume is the fan start spinning. it only ever makes this fan noise when it's going to work, before the noise of the ignition. Other times I cycle the power, this fan noise will never start, the ignition noise will never happen, and no water is ever heated.
Informed letting agent, gas engineer has been out twice but because the fault wasn't happening when he turned up, he said there was nothing he could do.
Not going to touch the boiler myself, but need to know if anyone has any ideas so I can direct this engineer's line of thought.
