ooo K that's the automatic air vent leaking, which is on top of/behind the pump.

I would isolate the boiler form the rst of the system with the flow/return taps, drain from the little drain cock, left side up underneath is easier to get at than the right one iirc. Undo top of said air vent with large grips, remove, and use some descaler on the small ole the air (and in your case water)comes out of.

Do the opposite, fill to 1 bar and see.

I'm not going to say turn it off first - the obvious is never stated.

your diverter valve is leaking from the dry section between the domestic and primary water sections. The light is coming on slightly because the dhw microswitch is situated where the water is coming from. new diverter valve or a diverter valve service kit is needed. this is all assuming you have a turbomax (black fascia, green knobs) and not a turbomax pro/plus (white fascia, green knobs)

weargas spot on considering he is p**sed same conclusion had to open front first.

many thanks etc. etc. :D

We know it's a Turbomax not a plus/pro - cos he said it's a 242.
OK I guessed the wrong round bit!
If the bottom of the diverter valve is plastic then you should replace the whole diverter - they distort and leak and were replaced with brass bottomed ones, which have a couple of other improvements if you get a current one.
They can be bought for £65 inc vat and carriage.
