Vaillant VRC400 Backlight

Does the vrc400 have a backlight? I have just fitted one to a Ecotec 428, it all works fine but when it goes dark , I have to turn the light on to see what the display is showing.

The manual does not say anything about the backlight . Was I expecting too much to think it would have one?

It doesn't but there is a new model available shortly that does.
