Vailliant App setup

I have a Vaillant ecotec boiler after being recommended it for my house by our plumber. We have heating, hot water (megaflow) and 1 zone underfloor heating. I have the wiring center, and the 2 sets of controls 720f with weather compensator and the vr92f. We then have the connect gateway. I am trying to set up the app and it's saying I have no thermostat connected. It's also saying that it can't find one if I try and connect something. My installer has been terrible. Just keeps saying, you need a degree these days to fit this stuff. I would be really greatful if someone is able to help me! Thanks.
