Vailllant ECOmax 618 E, cuts off

Dear All
I have a problem with my Boiler which is Vailllant ECOmax 618 E. When extrenal conrols calling for heat the following takes place:

1-The boiler fire up and you hear the pump running.
2- it runs for 20 seconds then you hear the flame stops.
3- after 5 seconds the boiler fire up again and you hear the pump running.

The above keep repeating as long as external controls calling for heat.

Any 'F' codes present in the digital display?

Press the 'i' button whilst it is doing this and see what 'S' code it is showing.

No 'F' code present. I do not have an 'i' button. The only buttons are RESET, Spanner Picture, +, - and Rediator picture.

Strange, my relative got a Vaillant ecoMAX boiler from the 600 series which was released in 2005 I think. It has got an "i" button and all buttons present on the ecoTEC range. Are you talking about the boiler control panel?

Ecomax has the same 'i' button. Top right above the ladder in the middle.

not the early ecomax, you need to call Vaillant.

It is the early ecomax 618. Vaillant are your only port of call, I suggest you get a fixed price repair 01773 828100.
