Hi guys,

We just a bought property and this boiler came with it.
Initially the pressure was too low, so whilst we had the renovation going, our plumber topped up the water in to raise the water pressure to 1. Normally with the water pressure being on 1 whilst it's off, it goes up to around 1.5 to 2 when it's on. But then it slowly creeped up to 2.5 - 3 when it's on and around 2 when it's off.
I've bleed the water out through radiator twice now in the last 2 - 3 weeks, but the pressure keeps coming back up.
I've checked the tap for topping the water in and it's properly shutoff.

any ideas?

Cheers

Thanks guys,

but I'm not much of a plumber, is this something that I can do quite easily or do I have to get a plumber in for this job?

I always recommend not to do things you are not confident about as you may easily do more harm than good; experimenting on boilers can be tricky.
Your problem is not hugely complicated, but if you don't know what to look for or how to spot it, you don't stand much chance.

How did you check it?

Did you really remove the flexible hose to confirm there is no flow???
