Valiant Ecotec 824 -- no hot water

Aplogies if this has duplicated only I posted this problem about 25 minutes ago and it has not appeared ( if new postas are moderated, then please delete this one if the other one shows )


My father in law has a Valiant Ecotec plus 824 boiler, fitted about 2 years ago. After having a bath yesterday, he no longer has any hot water ( that is no water at all from hot taps )

The boiler is not showing any error signs, cold tank is full and inlet valve working, outlet pipes appear unpbstructed

Any ideas would be a ppreciated please as he is well into his 80's and I do not want to leave him cold

Check the right hand grey filling loop knob is facing you saying 'closed'.

When open this will shut off the hot taps completely.

taps were in correct position, however I have increased pressure form 1.2 to 1.6 and it all seems to work now. Will check it again later tonoght and see how he's going

one of these statements cannot be true as the 824 is a combi boiler and cannot be tank fed!
