Have family members currently putting up a conservatory for me. Last week I noticed the boiler flue inside the conservatory. When I queried it, they told me they were putting attachments on so it comes out of the side.... I have queried 2 gas engineers who haven't been very helpful. Just wondering if anyone can advise me on what to do. What to not do. And the regulations. I have looked at the manual, but am pretty useless. Have uploaded photos of the area its stressing me out to the max

The flue can’t stay as it is now,it may be possible to reposition it but must be done by a gas qualified engineer as it will need testing

That will be dangerous if left like that, and the flue should only be altered by a Gas Safe Registered engineer as the boiler will need testing with specialist equipment to ensure it is burning correctly and remains safe to use following the alteration

Just had an engineer out, he's given two options.
Move the conservatory wall along (which will take more time.)
Or move the boiler. He's quoted 550, but has offered to move the sewage pipework on the left of the flue and to certify and do all safety checks afterwards.
Is this a good price?

As per the others, it will be classed as immediately dangerous, and if they alter the boiler flue, they could be prosecuted for working on an appliance illegally (if they’re not gas safe registered - I’m assuming not).

Edit: just seen your other reply
