Had this fire for 2 years, model 761 and the heat output is crap, cheap 2kw electric fire is better. Seems to heat the chimney breast rather than the room. Any thoughts.

Thought that! I have a Baxi outset radiant in another room and it knocks the arse off it. But the wife don't like the look of it, prefers to moan at me about how cold it is!
