Been using Valspar Premium mid sheen mixer paints for years after a run in with chalky Dulux in 2013. Never had a problem with Valspar, 2 coats gave good coverage.
Last used it in 2022 using non mixer white to cover light cream walls, 2 coats was patchy & it took a third to clear it. Thought it might be the fault of the difference between pre-mix & their mixer paints.
Seems not. Now I'm covering white again with a Valspar Premium pale blue mixer , sugar soap cleaned, same roller routine I've always used but it's looking patchy even after 2 coats. AGAIN!
Has their paint quality changed?
