Hi. Its normally only the bottom section of rain water pipe that can be got at. Zinc down pipe could be used to sleeve pvc or replace bottom section with cast iron. Good Luck
We had this problem a few years back at a commercial installation. We just went to our local steel fabricator and had some guards made in 3mm galvanised steel.

Hi If the damage is kids hanging about and ripping at them. I have in the past wrapped RWP and sparge pipes in gents urinals with denso tape. They only touch it once, as it sticks to your hands and garments.
