Hi All,
Im currently constructing a small porch.
The existing doorway/entrance Is slightly recessed into the main building.
New construction will be 100mm medium dense block + 50mm cavity + 100 thermalite block.
The new inner skin will continue the existing recess into the porch allowing the plasterboard to run continuous across the new and existing structure to provide a 'flush' finish.
Should I be looking to install battens +VCL of any sort to the existing render and the area under the existing canopy.
This will affect the settling out of the brickwork.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you
