Varnish over white doors

I am diyer, just needed some expert advice, got few white interior fire doors from howdens, wanted to paint them walnut colour, could not find any door paint so bought Ronseal walnut colour varnish.
My question is Can I varnish over white doors?

Tried YouTube but couldn't find any video showing varnish over white paint

No, you can't or you can but what are you trying to achieve? Varnish is a translucent coating, it shows the grain of the wood underneath it whilst it adds colour to give the wood a particular shade. You have a white base, all you could achieve is some smudged white with a wash of walnut colour over it. You might have something more creative in mind that I am not getting. Perhaps paint the doors in a colour that looks like walnut?
