I am trying to paint over my varnished front door. Light varnish on one side dark on the other. I have sanded and scrubbed it, primed and undercoat 3 coats. But still on the light varnished side a yellow colour is seeping through the white paint. Should i risk just gloss painting over it? Please can anybody advise.

You must be using a water based undercoat, no need to worry gloss will seal and cover it.
