Vaulted ceiling

Any thoughts of whether they are worth it? Im having a timber frame with gable at one end hipped at the other. Basic cost is £7500 extra plus maybe £1500 in extra insulation/plastering costs. Will look good but at £9000?

That all comes down to what someone is willing to pay for it. It's your house, if you think it's worth it then it is.

If you don't have it done, will you always regret it and wish that you had?

Would you recoup that when you sold the property. Maybe, if it is an exec, top end quality property, but probably not if was a two bed terrace.

Personally I wouldn't but I don't have 9k spare! The other thing you need to remember is it'll be harder to heat evenly.
If you can do it yourself then you can knock the price right down, so maybe that makes the decision easier.
