1999 Vauxhall Corsa Two Wheel Drive Manual 60 000 miles
The ignition barrel on my corsa needs replacing as the key keeps getting stuck.
I brought a new one and new key (non official) which was easy enough to fit but found the new key wouldn't start they car. Apparently I have an imobiliser (this was news to me!) that the new key will not deactivate.
Is there any way around this other than taking my car to a Vauxhall garage. Can the imobiliser be deactivated for example? If I do buy an official part will I still have this problem?
