Hi all,
I've just bought a Velux CK06 Roof Window to fit in a new rectangular building spanned with attic trusses. The window is quoted as 55cm wide so my assumption is that it will fit perfectly between 47mm wide trusses with 600mm centres (553mm gaps). The roof will be slate so I've also bought the matching EDL flashing kit.
I've become slightly concerned on reading the (terrible) pictorial instructions that came with the window as it appears to suggest the installer should leave 40-60mm of spacing. This would push the trusses beyond 600mm centres which would dictate doubling up the trusses each side in order to meet building regs. Surely Velux have made this precise size of window to fit in standard spacings?
Thanks,
Steve
