Hello, I have an old velux in the loft which is a sizeable 1.3m by 1.2m. The old sealed unit has failed and requires replacement.
Initially I was intending to do a like for like replacement. It would have been for the old type sealed unit with a smaller spacer.
However, I have found out that Velux supply conversion kits which allow old velux windows to be updated to accept glazing with a larger gap/spacer.
The cost of the glazing is pretty much similar in both cases. It therefore seems a no brainer to me.
The question, has anyone used any of these conversion kits?
It seems that velux does not really advertise them as they prefer to sell new ones, for obvious reasons.
