Hi..... wondering if anyone can help...
My house has a loft conversion with 4 velux windows - 3 GGL M04 centre pivot ones, and 1 GPL M06 window. The operation of the GPL one is confusing me a bit. I understand that these are dual opening windows - they can open pivoting from the centre, like the GGLs, but that can also open pivoting from the top.
My GPL pivots from the centre ok. In use it's just the same as the GGLs in the room. The top pivot opening confuses me though. It does open in this way, but there is no counter weight mechanism to keep the window open - so it just falls shut under gravity unless you support it with youe hand.
Furthermore, if I look at the window when it's open in centre pivot mode , I can't actually see any mechanism for supporting and hinging the window at the top - so I dont even know how it's happening. I am concnered it was not installed correctly....
