Would any professional or seasoned DIY person say this is a good finished installation....the tiles are loose and the first good gust of wind I'm sure will see them disappear off the roof, foam not trimmed to accommodate the tile profile and a piece of lead waiting to fly off too. Should the flashing parts match up and sit together correctly....
Advice needed.

Think this might be in the wrong category, apologies...

I'm a seasoned DIY person but sometimes you doubt your own knowledge and ability to see an awful job when the work has actually been done by so called professionals. Just need to make sure I'm not going totally crazy...

Did the 'artisans' responsible arrive in new Transits, wear vests and speak with accents from The Emerald Isle?
ReganandCarter never lets an opportunity pass without illustrating his bigotry.
I've yet to see a post from him in this forum that isn't demonstrating his bigotry.

But Notch will defend him.

Not that this always ensures a decent job, but were they a reputable company with a proven track record in this area? Or (not to tar everyone with the same brush!) were they a general builder/handyman that said 'oh yeah, I can turn my hand to anything.'

Reputable company with many good reviews, but some poor ones too. The tiles do not confirm in any way to the velux Web site instructions...

That is a pathetic attempt to fit a Velux, had they ever fitted one before, were they straight from (primary) school? I would be wondering what sort of damage they had done, butchering the roof timbers.

It's reassuring from you people, definitely not going crazy. I'm putting the faults right myself as my two parents are in their 80's and do not want the company back in their house. They were also told they need a new roof. As you can imagine the roof is in good condition with no work needed.

And you, never let an opportunity pass without jamming up the boards with some windbaggery. (y)

If you're being paid by the word, I wouldn't mind being a tenner behind you, for sure ;)
Do you think we shouldn't call out racism and bigotry whenever we encounter it?

Careful! With your tries at romance scams, I'd be really concerned about you fantasising of being a tenor behind me.

It's crap and laz

It's crap and lazy. Loads to point out. They haven't even bothered to remove the tile support nibs that foul the flashing. Morons.
