Hi guys,

We're recently moved house and the Velux window skylights are leaking.
Its not dripping in, but you can see the plaster board getting wet and feeling cold/damp to the touch.
It generally only happens during heavy rain, rather than a light shower.
There are 4 velux's and the all leak in the same spot which is in the bottom right hand corner.
I've never had Velux windows before so not sure where to start looking.
I can easily take more photos, if i've missed the important bits etc.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Model is :
CE EN 1279-5 2005 VELUX * IPL M04 59 M352311 *

You need to keep the drainage channels by the side of the windows clear of moss and leaves.

we have had a lot of problems which appears to be a leak
But is condensation from a warm roof.If the void is over insulated and no air circulation, it is probably condensation..

Quick update - Cleaning the drainage channels didn't make a huge amount of difference.
We got the Velux guy out for their free inspection, he checked all of the windows, said they were installed correctly but just needed a tiny bit of 'tightening up'. Didn't cost a thing, and no leaks since :)

Free of charge thats good of them I have always had a positive response when dealing with velux. The workmanship on your photo's looked good to me but I have to say I have never heard of tightening things up before.

Looks like very low pitch roof for natural slates? may just be pics . If pitch to low need to change roof covering to a suitable low pitch tile/slate.

I know this is an old post but I'm having the same issue. Did this fix the leak

....and a lot of leaks manifest at the bottom of a Velux irrespective of whether the roof is actually allowing the water in at the Velux.
