Hi guys do any of you know why the Velux Vlt can only be used in non inhabited roof space, is it because you cant climb out of them in case of a fire or is it something else, i want to put them in my vaulted ceiling and they would be 14 foot up so i wouldnt be able to climb out of them anyhow thanks in advance all input greatfully

Because it is single glazed and thermally inefficient plastic frame. Habitable rooms will require something better.

You will lose a lot of heat and probably get condensation dripping if these are fitted in a habitable room.
