Hi All
I am building an extension and have installed velux windows. Because of how I am trying to co-ordinate everything with the angles of the roof, I am not using the standard flashing kit. This means I am going to have to construct one.
I will have a waterproof membrane which will be glued between the edge of the window and the insulation surrounding the window cavity.
I will then have the flashing which will be plastered and it will be attached to the edge of the window and the surrounding joist.
My question is whether this can just be plasterboard or whether it should be ply to give a more solid construction?
Many thanks for any help
Chris
