Has anyone got any experience of fitting / owning the velux windows for flat roofs? Currently considering fitting them to an extension.

velux can be fitted to a flat roof but have to be built into an upstand. this upstand needs to be higher at one end in order to pitch the window, as velux have a minimum pitch setting.
make sure that it doesn't contravene any thermal regulations though.

thanks noseall - they do the whole kit now for building the sides up to gove a slope. Architect currently doing plans for the roof as it currently has only 50 mm of insualtion, leaky sieve!!!
