vent for extractor

Hi,

If a tile vent is installed on the roof to provide an outlet for an extractor fan what happens to the felt? Does it just get cut or does it have to be made good around the new tile?

Hi Normally just cut, however can be sealed using tape. Good Luck

Is there any chance of having the extractor in the soffit board? there would be less ducting and no felt to cut
