I want to find a Venturi that can be made into a water pump. How & why?
By connecting a hose (domestic garden water pressure) to the Venturi inlet, with the Venturi suction port into a bucket of water (fertiliser mix) I turn the hose on and it can deliver the water (mixed with some fertiliser)via the Venturi outlet port on to my garden.

A simple Venturi with screw thread fittings that I can "plumb" together with hoses and bucket is what I seek.

We had similar on the farm 40 years ago for fast fire fighting refill of tanks. Have never seen one since. I may have to make it myself but if I can identify an off the shelf item, that will be great.

Thanks !

Yes, I am Aussie, living on the Land Downunder.

Thanks for the answers. Much appreciated.

A friend dropped in with one today that is almost exact. It will let me experiment. It looks like it has come from a Physics Lab. Made from brass, can screw on to a tap and has "pushfit" hose coupling for the suction and the outlet ports.

It is a passive mechanical device with the ability to "connect" external plumbing. This is what I have been searching the WWW for, for hours. If someone in the UK could indentify the one seen in the video, URL below,
I would like to get hold of it. (plastic ??)

Thanks
