Verge clips

I was just chatting to my roofing merchant about an order of Redland Grovesburys, and wondered if I should get some verge clips. He said that they hardly sell any because no one uses them.

I agree that they look awful and prefer the clean lines without them, but was surprised. Do the BCO's turn a blind eye, or is it new build only?

Rarely used them in the past but is becoming more common practice (at least with the company i work for) to use them on most interlocking tiles. We use eave, verge and tile clips.

Clips have been a requirement since 2015. Lazy roofers.
