I've just installed a Veritas Excel alarm and Pyronik Belle Box (I used exisiting wiring and PIRs).
Everything went ok.
However, when I try the bell test there's no sound. But when I try the strobe test that works.
I thought it was maybe the old wires, so I connected brand new test cable from the front of the control panel to the bell box....same result.
Any ideas?
(BTW, not sure if this is of any significance, but if I have the sound jumper in the bell box set to 'normal' (i.e. if the jumper is present) and I then close the lid, the sounder doesn't stop ringing. I therefore remove the jumper, connect the bell box's internal battery (it sounds for 5 seconds and then switches itself off), I then replace the jumper, close the lid, power up the system and try the various tests. I'm actually thinking this has something to do with it, or, should the system return to 'normal' when I replace the jumper?).
Any ideas of what I'm doing incorrectly?
