Hi

I recently moved into a house which had the new alarm installed about 9 months ago. (looks like the outside bell box and detectors in the two rooms that have them are from a previous alarm, the panel is brand new.)

I have changed the code to one I can remember and I've completed the walk test sucessfully.

However when I try to set it (with the front door closed and no movement in front of the dectectors), I get one beep and the unset light flashes, no other zone lights are lit and the alarm dosent set. After about 10 seconds the unset like stays on.

Can anyone help please?

The guy who fitted it is about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. :(

It sounds like your front door contact is either not closing or is missing.

Are you pressing [FULL] after you've entered your user code?

Hi

Thanks for your prompt response. The door contact is there - its a round flush disc on the door and a plastic 1" by 1/2 inch plate on the frame. They are lined up but not touching, do they need to be? We took the door off to paint it recently could it be connected?

Hi Europlex & RF Lighting

Thanks for your prompt response.

Yes, I enter the code and then press FULL. I get one error beep. Weird thing is the walk test works fine.

What if you just press the 'full button'?

Have you tried pressing the reset button?

oK help, I've pressed the FULL button and its set. I've entered my code to unset its not accepting it and the alarm is going off!

Hi

Panic over. The only thing that reset it was 4321. I was reading the installation manual online earlier and seen that code in there.

It appears that my "new code" was never set in the first place. Ive gone through the process of trying to change it and it keeps giving one error beep.

I've called the guy that fitted it again and he's coming out tomorrow.

Thanks for all your help guys.
