Veritas v8 alarm, no code and constant beeping

We have moved into a property and have no alarm code so haven't been able to use the alarm. Yesterday the alarm was beeping once a minute, managed to stop this by fluke but now it has gone off at 4am, I pressed 4321 and reset which stopped it. Yet it has just started again and the code isn't working this time. It's very loud and annoying and any help would be appreciated.

Is the mains light flashing on the main end station ?
