Hi all.

Just moved to our first home and fitted a new Beko B300 dishwasher.

It wouldn’t slide in as there were broken/half stuck on tiles, so the previous owner had put down a piece of thin MDF board for their washer to sit on.

Maybe we were spoilt with an above-averagely-quiet dishwasher in our rented accommodation, but this Beko is LOUD when running (see video).

Pipes are flowing freely and definitely seems to be doing the washing properly.

Is this a normal amount of sound or is there actually something wrong do you think?!

Lots of the reviews online say things like ‘whisper quiet’ and ‘you’d barely know it’s on’. Either the reviews have been planted be Beko employees (definitely possible) or other people think ‘quiet’ is something different to me…

If it’s the board it’s on or something daft I may have done, please fire away with advice.

Thanks for any help!
J

Is it like a washing machine where you need to remove transit bolts and/or packaging a instalation. Sorry not familiar with dishwashers

Definitely no transit bolts or packaging left attached now - seems to be the machine itself.

In isolation that recording is meaningless... Need the machine stopped and another thing or things (e.g. boiling a kettle above the dishwasher) for comparison. Even then the phone may have automatic volume correction going on.

B300 is inadequate to find the exact model.... but using just B300 suggests C noise rating of around 46 dB.... My Neff dishwasher has a max noise of 44 dB... one would hardly be able to tell the difference if operating correctly.
Our Neff is very quiet and can hardly be heard, but if I ran a video recording of it I reckon it might sound similar.

Many phones can run an App using the phone mic as a sound level meter... may not be accurate but will allow comparison to say a washing machine in wash, pumping out and spinning... at the same distance away.
