Hi all. My old CCTV DVR has sadly passed away.

I've bought a new replacement but unfortunately it only has a 15pin D sub VGA output or a HDMI output.

I'd like to feed the output back into my existing CCTV infrastructure, but this has a single BNC video input.

Would a lead like this one on eBay with an RCA to BNC adaptor plugged into the yellow lead be suitable?

If not is there something else available which will do what I want?

Thanks

Can't comment on that but this will work 301875509877 ebay , it's USB powered so yeah you can either plug it into a spare USB on the dvr or buy a cheap USB psu

That's the wrong direction I want to turn VGA into video.

Sorry it's the silver box , not black 122110807776 , the alien is a hikvision dvr anyway , hikvision have started putting the composite output back on the machines due to people still having old monitors and TV modulators ...

Wether or not it will work will probably depend on what your DVR VGA is outputting, the lead you link to has a note at the bottom of the description regarding this. Composite video isn't usually included in a VGA port, it usually separates RGB and Horizontal + Vertical syncs. For £2.60 I can't see there being electronics in it to unscramble the signal.
Maybe something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC-Laptop-VGA-to-TV-RCA-Composite-S-video-LCD-Out-Cable-Converter-Box-for-PC-WST/271967138712?_trksid=p2045573.c100506.m3226&_trkparms=aid=555014&algo=PL.DEFAULT&ao=1&asc=38661&meid=1a466c9f3b0346d29804e1951557968c&pid=100506&rk=1&rkt=1& and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Pack-B...hash=item43b1dbf9f7:m:m3K-1BJtzvZBliREtcp1Ggw will work.
You'll also need either a spare USB port, a USB 5v wall plug or a 5v wall wart.
