Hello

I have a piece of vinyl flooring, it's been delivered on a roll and it measures 4m x 4m.

Instructions say to unroll and leave in the room where it is to be laid for at least 24 hours to let it climatize. If I completely unroll this, the vinyl will be on the floor and up the walls unless I start cutting it down.

Should I just lay it in loose folds for 24/48 hours prior to laying?

Many thanks

You could do as you suggest and, unless its a complicated floor footprint, unroll it out then rough cut it in leaving ample extra (say 100mm-150mm) to trim off for the final fitting.
Is the threshold up and the skirtings off - they can cover lots of sins.

so long as the vinyl has been in the house loose rolled for that time you should have few issues, worse case you may need to re-trim it at some point, it will expand but not shrink if it moves at all over the first few months (assuming it's being loose laid).
