Vinyl comes in 2m & 3m variety

The widest part of the kitchen is 2.18m.

If I were to go for the 2m width, I will require a join.

I understand that having no join is ideal, however the section which would require the join is tiny and i am also on a budget

The subfloor is made of chipboard.

If I were to go for the 2m width, would I need to take any special precaution to protect the subfloor? e.g. from potential water ingress

You can't seal the join with anything, adhesive under the area of the join will hold the two pieces of vinyl close together, but it won't be water proof.

We completed the job before your post. However, thanks for the response
