Hi,
New here and to owning a property.
I have a room upstairs that I want to turn into an office, the room is 2.3m x 2.3m so bit of a box shape and not really suitable as a bedroom.
It’s currently carpeted which I want to replace with LVT however I’ve noticed the floor isn’t flat/level in the middle of the room.
I’ve put a 1.9m level across the floor and it seems it about 1.6cm out.
In this photo I’ve marked the way the joists run and I know this is correct as I’ve replace the chipboard flooring in another room for some new electrics.
None of the other rooms upstairs are like this. Outside of the door to this room is the landing and the stairs right next to it.
I presume I’ll need to level the floor to lay LVT, but what is the best way? Ideally I’d like to do it without ripping up the floor and sistering the joists?
