Vistalux 0.8mm PVC Corrugated Sheet for garden room?

Hi , Im looking to roof my decking outside with clear pvc to make a kind of conservatory at least a rain shelter for the decking and maybe later on I will fill in the wall spaces to make a proper conservatory. So would Vistalux 0.8mm PVC Corrugated Sheet be the material to do the roof in? What advantage would there be using a thicker sheet?
